Giving Campaign raises $2.1 million for 1,000+ nonprofits

Giving Campaign

Cue the mixtapes, neon colors and dial-up nostalgia: Bread Financial®'s 2026 Giving Campaign went back to the 90s.

The annual two-week campaign matches eligible associate donations 100% globally, with no company match limit. In recognition of the company’s 30th anniversary, the campaign featured a special 90s theme to celebrate three decades of Paying It Forward.

The campaign combined donation matching with volunteerism and events to strengthen communities where Bread Financial associates live and work.

“I love the way associates galvanize to support this legacy campaign," said Dionna Carter, lead sustainability specialist at Bread Financial. "There's a real momentum behind this initiative because it is embedded in our culture and powered by associates, whether they're giving, volunteering or participating in events."

This year’s campaign set records: more than $2.1 million went to 1,013 nonprofits globally, while more than 250 associates recorded over 600 volunteer hours. That adds to more than $20 million donated since 2016 by Bread Financial and its associates around the globe.

The company also set up multiple volunteer events and expanded opportunities for associates to connect with nonprofits, features that distinguish its Giving Campaign from typical corporate philanthropy efforts. Bread Financial’s unique match opportunity empowers associates to support the causes they're most passionate about, expanding the impact of this legacy campaign.

New this year, associate volunteer events across all hub locations expanded opportunities to participate, helping drive a 200% year-over-year increase in India and a $114,000 increase in the total amount raised globally.

Bringing the campaign to life
Across its locations, Bread Financial brought the campaign to life with music, field day activities, team volunteer events and more.

In Columbus, Ohio, the annual nonprofit fair provided an opportunity for nonprofit partners to share their missions directly with associates over music and food, putting the people and organizations making a difference in the community front and center.

“The nonprofit fair is my favorite because it’s fun with a purpose,” said Dionna. “Our associates are deeply engaged with our nonprofit partners and truly care about the impact these organizations are making in the community.”

Meanwhile, Giving Trees staged at several offices allowed associates a chance to share what giving back means to them, from memorable volunteer experiences and favorite nonprofits to acts of kindness that inspired them.

India office celebrates learning in the community
In India, the Sustainability Committee partnered with Makkala Jagrithi, an organization dedicated to empowering youth through access to education. Volunteers assembled and distributed educational kits and engaged with students during a school visit to Government Higher Primary School, Devanahalli.

Additionally, the Community Relations Committee helped bring technology-enabled learning to Government High School, Bagalakunte, by establishing a Computer Lab and Smart Classroom with 20 laptops, infrastructure and training support. Several volunteers also joined the handover and met with students.

“Spending time with local high school students was a wonderful and engaging experience,” said Daya Patkar, senior manager, credit risk operations & analytics. “Their curiosity and energy really stood out. I’m so glad we could help create more opportunities for them to learn by supporting a digital classroom.”

Albuquerque office supports Red Cross initiative
Associates at the Albuquerque office joined with long-time partner Red Cross to create over 200 emergency kits and cards.

Through its membership in the Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program, Bread Financial helps ensure the Red Cross is ready to respond when disasters strike. The kits will provide people affected by natural disasters with essential resources and words of encouragement when they need them most.
